Using Remote Connection Manager - setting the Surface book at a lower resolution - adding a manifest file to mstsc.exe. I have therefore had to roll back to before Windows Creator update, i.e. Remote desktop is running on 1920x1200 without Windows Creators Update and Surface Book running at 3000x2000 without Windows Creators Update. In this case Remote Desktop session is clear and usable.
I have just installed the Windows 10 Creators Update on my new Surface Book and it makes Remote Desktop sessions to it unusable because of poor DPI handling.
I connect to the Surface Book from my desktop PC which is running at 1920x1200 without Windows Creators Update. This Surface Book is running at 3000x2000 with Windows Creators Update. In this case the content viewed through Remote Desktop on my desktop PC is blurred and unusable.
All current workarounds online do not work i.e.:
- using Remote Connection Manager
- setting the Surface book at a lower resolution
- adding a manifest file to mstsc.exe

I understand the Windows 10 Creators Update was intended to resolve DPI issues, however, this seems to have created no ones.
Will Microsoft fix this issue before Windows Creator update is forced upon us all? Or if the both PCs are upgraded to Windows Creator will this be handled?
